YOUCAN Youth Services operates in Edmonton and offers various programs and projects that have made an enormous impact within the community.
YOUCAN Youth Services Timeline


YOUCAN is established as a full-time office in Edmonton, run by one dedicated staff member and many youth volunteers.

YOUCAN hosts a national youth conference with a Conflict Resolution theme and starts to establish a name within the Edmonton Community.

YOUCAN Youth Services moves from a home office into an office at the West End Boys and Girls Club of Edmonton.

YOUCAN Youth Services implements many youth for youth conflict resolution projects within the Edmonton Community.

YOUCAN Youth Services implements the Peacebuilders pre-employment program and hires two staff.

YOUCAN Youth Services grows to two locations and implements the Verto Project pre-employment program and hires 4 more staff.

YOUCAN Youth Services moves into our current location and blends the Peacebuilders and Verto Projects into one program.


To avoid confusion about the services we provide in Edmonton, YOUCAN adds Youth Services to it's name and logo.

YOUCAN Youth Services implements our Relentless Youth Outreach Worker Program and hires 5 Relentless Outreach Workers.

YOUCAN Youth Services implements our Relentless Youth Outreach Worker In-School Program and hires 3 In-School Relentless Outreach Workers.

A new local board is established for YOUCAN Youth Services in Edmonton, and we are considered a stand-alone organization as the Ottawa office is closed permanently.


YOUCAN Youth Services launches a new website and rebrands with a new logo.

YOUCAN Youth Services in Edmonton has grown significantly since 2002, with more than 20 staff serving over 400 youth annually.
