Be Relentless
About the Relentless Program
The Relentless Program at YOUCAN Youth Services is built on consistent, proactive support that meets youth where they are. Through outreach and relationship-building, the program helps young people make positive, healthy, and life-changing decisions.
At its core, Relentless is about showing up. It focuses on building long-term, trusting relationships with youth, with the goal of helping them transition toward independence and a life free from harm.
The Relentless Program Addresses
- School factors, including low commitment to school, poor attitude, or limited attendance
- Employment factors, including low commitment to work and challenges in job performance
- Family factors, including strained relationships, separation, or lack of supervision
- Peer influences, including gang affiliation or exposure to high-risk behaviours
- Individual factors, including identity shaped through violence
- Societal factors, including isolation and poverty
The Relentless Program Aims To
- Reduce youth involvement in disruption and crime by supporting pathways to employment or education
- Increase participation in school, day programs, and pre-employment or employment opportunities
- Reduce risk factors that contribute to harm for youth and their families
- Strengthen protective factors that support long-term success
Currently this program only receives referrals from the Edmonton Police Services Youth Unit. For more information about the program, please contact Cayleigh Bluett.
